The Celtic Cross belongs to a period of the early middle ages, approximately 8th to 10th century. These Crosses had a religious significance, Death and the Afterlife being extremely important to the
ancient Irish Celts. The original crosses were handcut in stone showing intricate interlacing knots, Mythical animals and Human Figures. The High Cross is possibly the best known symbol of early Christianity in Ireland.

query: Not a question, but a word of thanks. I ordered the white gold St. Brigid's cross with a diamond for my wife to celebrate her first mother's day with our daughter Brigit. I ordered it late but with the hope it could arrive by Sunday. Ken kept me informed of the process and let me know that it was going to be late due to my ordering it with just one day to spare. On Tuesday, our 3 week old baby girl made a trip to the emergency room in an ambulance. After a few anxious hours of waiting, tests, and more waiting, we were sent home with a healthy baby. Waiting for us on the doorstep in a bit of perfect timing was the cross. A happy moment indeed. Thanks for a wonderful piece of jewelry and a very happy wife.
